Water-Based Wood Stain for Chair Frames and Cane, 8.5 fl ozWater-based wood stain in an 8.5 fl oz bottle, for refinishing chair frames and toning new natural cane to sit with an older frame. Five colors.

How it is done

  1. Cut back the broken strands to a spot where they are held under the weave.
  2. Match the strip by width and shape (flat, half-round or round) and color.
  3. Thread the new strip into the weave with the weaving tool, following the old path.
  4. Tuck and glue the ends where they will not show.
  5. For loose wraps, unwind, glue and rewrap tight with soaked binder cane.

Tip: Take a short piece of the old strand to the color chart: matching the shape matters as much as the color.
